British Lacrosse wants to acknowledge and thank Phil Collier for his outstanding contribution to the development of lacrosse across Britain
, especially in the groundbreaking work in the Olympic sixes game.
As the former Head Coach of the British Women’s Sixes programme, Phil led the team to a historic 4th place finish at The World Games in Alabama (2022), as well as multiple gold medal performances at EuroLax Sixes and international competitions in Canada.
His leadership positioned British Lacrosse at the forefront of Sixes development globally, ensuring our athletes and coaches were amongst the first to adapt and excel in the new Olympic format.
Phil’s impact extended far beyond competition results. He helped pioneer Sixes in the UK, bringing vision, clarity and performance standards to a rapidly evolving version of the game. His dedication to players, coaches, and the wider lacrosse community has been invaluable in laying foundations for future success on the international stage.
We thank Phil for his service to British Lacrosse, congratulate him on his new role with England Lacrosse, and look forward to seeing the continued influence he will have on shaping the growth of Sixes lacrosse in the UK and beyond.
We wish him every success in the next stage of his coaching journey.
