On 8th May our British Lacrosse players and coaches delivered the first of two Sixes Experience camps. The 40 lucky U16 and U14 boys were put through their paces by the elite coaching team. The day was action packed with the boys receiving bespoke sessions throughout the day to improve their Sixes skills.
The sessions were tailored to really enhance the player’s Sixes knowledge. All facets were covered, fast transition, finishing, shot clock attack, defensive styles all then put into practice, reacting to game realistic situations. The players were then introduced in the gym to strength and conditioning techniques and tests, before having a go themselves.
We very much hope that there were some future lacrosse Olympians at the first camp, and can’t wait to run the second instalment as part of our mission to inspire the next generation of Sixes players.
The next camp takes place on the 12th June, at Cheadle Hulme School in Stockport.
The camp runs from 9am to 2pm and costs £40 to attend.

All proceeds from the camp go to help support our team on their journey to The World Games this summer.
British Lacrosse does not yet get funding or grants and it’s early days on our journey to secure sponsorship deals, so our athletes have to self-fund to compete and represent Great Britain.
